Hallow-Clean Winners!

Out of a whopping 1,500 entries, I've unfortunately had to narrow it down to 3..
To be honest, I wasn't expecting so many entries and, frankly, I wasn't prepared.

But here is my honest attempt at conducting a decent little contest.

Trust me when I say this: it wasn't easy...

I wish I could have picked about 100 more winners, at least..

But here they are, the 3 winners who will receive the prizes:

In 1st place, winning one of the final autographed pictures, Pitchmen Season 1 DVD, Oxi-Clean, Mighty Putty, and stickers...

In 2nd place, winning Pitchmen Season 1 on DVD, Mighty Putty, and stickers...

Robert -

And in 3rd place, winning a Pitchmen Season 1 DVD and stickers...

Barry Palmer -

The best of the rest (Runners-up) -

Now, some bonus categories -

"Young Billy Mays" (or cutest kids dressed as BM)

Lookalikes - (People who really happen to look like my dad)

Most Unique Entries:

Billy Mays actually IN the TV! -

Out of 1,500 entries, only 2 decided to create a Billy Mays mask, here's one of them..

It was just funny to me in a sea of dedicated, bearded, and costumed fans.

Also... Billy "Maize" -

Let it sink in...  Yeah, you get it.

Panda Billy Mays (?):

Mini-Billy!:

There were SOOOOO many more GREAT ones.....

I want to thank EVERYONE who participated, it's been fun and quite an honor.

I am glad my son is on there! I will now have to buy him an autographed Billy Mays pic now though lol. Thanks for putting him on! But why does it say Panda Billy Mays on top of his pic? Am I missing something?

Congrats go out to all of the winners! :D All of the pics in the 500 gallery were awesome and was a great tribute to the late Billy Mays! I'm sure Billy would've been thrilled to see how many of us went all out to honor him. ;)

All in all, I had a lot of fun dressing up as Billy. Put smiles on peoples faces when I approached them and had good fun pitching Oxi-Clean and getting people to laugh and enjoy the day. :D Even got a few double-takes. :P Entering the contest was also a blast and was happy to make the initial 275. :) (Gallery Page 1, Column 3, Pic 66 down from top)

A huge thanks go out Billy Mays III for hosting the contest and for all of the time and energy he spent, as well as him and his entire family for letting us pay tribute despite the still relatively freshness of his unfortunate passing. Also , special thanks to all of the crew over at Sullivan Productions for helping Billy choose the winners!

Billy Mays... you inspired us all. You will not be forgotten, your legacy will continue on and may you rest in peace.

Fun contest, some amazing entries. I can't imagine what Billy Mays would have thought about thousands of people dressing up like him, it was a huge tribute to say the least. The only question I have is why isn't this guy in the Look-Alikes category?? He's practically Billy's brother lol

How did you pick the winners? Shouldn't the ones you posted that looked like your dad be the winners of a Billy Mays Costume Contest? The 2nd place winner is a skinny kid, I know it's your contest and your picks but some of us where just wondering what the judging guideline where. The Billy with the beer should have won!

Jeff Moore,
This was NOT a lookalike contest. This was a costume contest.

I chose the winners based on attention to detail.. The watch was a huge selling point for me, along with the right shade of blue.

These 3 somehow got my attention out of 1,500 other entries. The lookalikes were good but it was clear that not much thought was put into the COSTUME..

Thanks.

You should never have to defend yourself regarding this contest. It's in pretty poor taste for anyone to criticize the methods you used in judging. He was your dad, you should be able to pick whoever you want based on whatever reason. People can be amazing. I hope I can have as positive an outlook when it comes time for me to deal with the passing of those close to me, I find it pretty inspiring.

B3, you are a doll and I hope that my sons will grow up to be as positive as you seem to be.

I think it's great that you encouraged folks to send in pictures, I think that makes you a very strong person.

How exactly were you raised, that you are able to cope like this? I've had talks with my 4yo about life and death;; he asks a lot of questions; sometimes he handles it well, other times not.

Wat there anything your Dad said to you that sticks with you, to make this easier?

Tanya,
It's been an ongoing spiritual journey for me.

I'd have to attribute half to my mother, who raised me with unconditional love and always focused on the positive in life.

But also to my dad who, probably unknowingly, prepared me for the 'big' events in my life. He always showed me that 'devastating' events are the ones that shape who we are and the way we deal with them can make us come back even stronger.

Great contest Billy. I wish I would have had video to show my speal i gave at my party, rum in my Oxi-Clean spray bottle, telling people in your fathers voice "Whoring around last night? it even cleans the dirtiest of mouths! I am honored to be in the category of lookalikes, its better than winning for me, its the whole reason i entered. Impersonation is the greatest form of flattery, and the contest shows what an icon your father was in our time era. He left a Legacy.
