Hallow-clean Contest.

Halloween is approaching rapidly and it goes without saying that "deceased celebrities" (and balloon boy) will most likely be a huge theme at every gathering.

There will no doubt be a multitude of people dressed as Billy Mays (or zombie Billy Mays).. it is one of the easiest costumes of all time to put together. (Beard, blue button-down, khakis, prop product, etc..)

So, I've decided to hold a little contest for best costume.

To Enter:

1. Simply send a photo of your costume to wheresbillymays@gmail.com along with your contact info (email and/or twitter will do)
2. Be tasteful.  (Zombies are permitted)
3. Project your voice.
4. Have fun.

Deadline for entry is Wednesday, November 4.

An experienced panel of judges (the Sullivan Productions crew and myself) will select 3 winners.

Prizes ~

First Place: One of the final autographed Billy Mays pictures, Pitchmen Season 1 DVD, tub of Oxi-Clean, pack of Mighty Putty, and a whole bunch of stickers.

Second Place: Pitchmen Season 1 DVD, pack of Mighty Putty, and a whole bunch of stickers

Third Place: Pitchmen Season 1 DVD and a whole bunch of stickers.

Winners will be announced Monday November 9.

Good luck and may the beard be with you.

You must be a very level headed, common sense kind of person...good on you for seeing that most people are giving a tribute to your Dad. He was ,in a weird way, a fairly significant figure in a lot of strangers lives. I know that, as a chronic insomniac, I have spent countless nights watching his infomercials and finally falling asleep to the sound of his voice.

I agree...it's a tribute to your Dad that people will dress like him at Halloween. And it's great of you to appreciate that and honor it. Good for you!!!! Your Mom and Dad did good..... =)

I just wanted to say that I loved your dad. He always seemed like such a nice guy, and it made me smile every time I saw him on TV. I'm sure he'd get a big kick out of this. Wish you the best!

My 11 year old son may be your dad's biggest fan! Shortly after last Halloween, he announced that he wanted to be Billy Mays for this year. With your father's passing, we had mixed emotions about the costume pick. I am truly glad that you have decided to do this. Billy is greatly missed. What a wonderful way to keep the legacy alive.

I knew your father personally, he was such a kind and caring person. He was especially great to my daughter Audrey who was devastated when he passed away on her birthday this year. Please know you and your family are in our prayers :) I think this is a great way to keep your father's memory alive :) Take care.

I was Billy Mays for Halloween last year with much success. I thought I had a clever idea to be zombie Billy this year. Turns out I everyone else on the planet had the same idea and I'm not clever at all.

I will be one of those people wearing the blue and khakis in honor of your dad for Halloween. I'm growing the beard as we speak, hope it fills in enough in time for Saturday.

My friends tell me I sound just like him when I do my impression, and it's to me what John Madden is to Frank Caliendo (if you know what I'm referring to).

Billy Mays is legend, no doubt! He made a huge "positive" impact in such a short time. I don't know anybody who doesn't like Billy Mays.

I lost my dad suddenly too Billy, glad to see your keeping your pops memory alive in a positive way with the stickers and websites, etc.

A prominent Buffalo attorney -- Paul Cambria -- went as your father to a Halloween costume party at the Buffalo Central Terminal. I caught this on the evening news. I swear he is supposed to be your father, right down to the denim shirt, khakis and this beard.

At the Freaker's Ball at Skipper's Smokehouse (Tampa) there was an excellent Billy Mays costume. The crowd complained when he didn't make the top 3 ( I got second place with Balloon Boy). The winners spent $2000 on working iPhones with 42" displays and are all over the tech blogs this week.

They told me they were still putting the costumes together out in the parking lot. Had they have been no-shows I'm sure Billy would have been on the podium.

I just want to thank you for giving your 'blessing' about Billy Mays costumes. My son is going to dress as your dad for Halloween. He thinks it's a great idea and it's an easy alternative to spending lots of cash on a costume he'll wear once.
